Chipmunk and the Bridal Falls Gondola

Is there any update on what is going on regarding the Bridal Falls Gondola and the potential that it will impact many off road trails

Would be nice if there where a central place where we (all those affected could get updates and news,

Nothing further as of yet Tom but this is just phase 1 for them, they will collect data on a very wide area to report to the Crown the impacts of the project and its smaller physical footprint and how it will effect the larger area. I have reached out to BCORMA and the Crown to represent DSBC as a key stake holder. Reeses new ALL USERS group will get a seat at the table as well. Will post up updates under a new category in new year, perhaps Access and Liason section for updates on this, Sasquatch, other road restrictions.

I know this kind of stuff is pretty boring for most of the riders out there, but it is very important for future riders and those of us that are just going to ride well past the age that we should be.

4,200+- Hectares of proposed land getting shut down to the recreational users ranging from hikers, biking, and off-road vehicles of all types. This will shut down the Thurston area to Chipmunk FSR to all public use."

This is absolutely wrong, this application is for study purposes for a proposal that will occupy a far far smaller footprint. A huge part of what is required is to gather data on current user and enviromental impact, hence the wider area.

As stated above the club, The new All Users Tamahi/Chipmunk Trails Group and BCORMA are engaging with the Crown. The BEST thing you can do is get out and be a responsible user when the proponent begins phase 1 studies.
