Folks, I just laid my hands on a 2002 F650 Dakar.One thingI would like to do is make the thing breath better. I've been studying and the snorkel modifications andK&N / BMC Air Filter makes sense but, what about an exhaust?
My ideal would be a Scorpion (as they are made by one of the boys who started Akropovic) but, I can't find one anywhere in N. America that'll fit a 2002. They are all for the 05/06 which has theupdated injection system. I've also researched Remus and apparently they interfere with the side luggage. Staintune are virtually unheard of outside of N. America and Two Bros are asloud as a bleeding Harley.
I'm not saying that the abovestatements are correct, it's just what I've read so far. Does anyone know what the best option is, as the whole gas-flow conceptof the stock system must have been designed by BMW's special dumbass department?
Also, I won't buy Magura handlebars at the vastly inflated price so,I'd like to fit Renthals. Does anyone know how this can be done and still keep the lovely heated grips?
