Thanks to all, I muchly enjoyed the ride and meeting some new people... Sorry Dave, for my poor choice in parking spots {sinking centerstand = domino effect} and knocking your bike down.... Getting the 640 through those trails sure zaps the energy reserves, by the afternoon I was a ball of sweat...

I headed out at 1:30 PM and made it home at around 10 in the evening, a real long day...

Once again thanks, see you at the Orca...
David..

That was the softest fall my bike had all day. I'm still wondering how you get that 640 through the way you do. Good time had by all.

See you at Orca, (I'll park up hill next time:D)

Did you do dashboard with the KLR?

Bill

Bill,

Going back to what I said about Cheeseburger being a bad influence :)P), yes, I did.

He had taken his KLR over Dashboard at another time, and I have the mindset that if somebody else can do it on a KLR, I can too. I made it, albeit slowly and not cleanly. I only "dropped" it once, but it wasn't totallyswift sailing otherwise.

In any case, Dashboard has been proven doable (downhill) on a KLR. A more skilled rider should be able to make it back up reasonably well too. Good dirt tires would help.

All kiddin aside, I had a great time out on my first dual sport ride and really enjoyed the event even if I'm now missing a license plate. Thanks to all those who put in the hard work to organize a great day.

I'm still kicking myself for forgetting my camera!!!! Neat videos...makes me wish I had done some of the harder routes (not!).

On a side note, anybody know how much was raised for the various charities and causes?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the DSBC members that made this another great event.

It has bin 10 months since I rode my little bike and I can say that is was only Tuesday when the old body felt better.
