Here we have a set of Carbon Kevlar Case Guards. If you want the latest Bling and don't want to add the extra weight of aluminum :mad3:Here are a set of Case Guards you must have. I already have had the pleasure of buy a case for my DRZ 400 it ain't cheap and you have to wait for it.

You all know about Carbon Kevlar. works for the police department to stop bullets, it should be ok to protect that magnesium cover

These case savers are made by one of DSBC's own, IanB. If you are interested in a set they are 95.00 plus any shipping but that will be cheap because they are so light, the post office should pay you to deliver them.

About 20 bucks goes to DSBC the rest goes into production, a labour of love I might add.

If you are interested Ian will make them in batches of 6 or more. so get your name andhe will get on it.

No problem producing some, but I would need to take a mold off a DR that's not too scratched up. Tomake thisworthwhile, I need produce about 8-10 sets. Let Tom know you're interested and perhaps he can see what interest there is via the store.

Whddya say Tom....lots of DR owners on here.

I'd volunteer my bike for the mold. I will try and take a couple pics over the holidays so as to see if it is mold worthy. I am in Van, but could take the bike out to your place....

I'll send the pics as soon as I have them.

Nice work.

Unfortunately, a lot of us 'bleedin' edge early adaptors bought cheesy aluminum case gaurds.

Could you be persuaded to do a run of carbon fiber fork leg protectors?

I'd snap up a set, and I suspect many others would as well. They might even fit the 650, for them jokers that like the BIG girls.

Also, I've also seen a lot of damage to the alarmingly thin DRZ swing arms. Most of it seems to be on the sides, near the back. A couple of simple, straight, flat pieces might serve as swing arm protection for a lot of different bikes.

My $.02 - worth wish-list!

Just to clear up any confusion, this is how it really needs to work.

To make a part, itis normally necessary to make a mold first. Tomake just one or two partsmeans the cost of making the mold has to be shared over those, normally making it prohibitively expensive.

So, somebody has to decide whether it's worth it. Normally, the people doing the marketing are the best ones to judge this, because they receive the requests. This is where the DSBC Store comes into the picture. If Tom gets enough feedback for a part, he can talk tome aboutmaking a mold and costing it over a given number of parts. So, bigger order = cheaper price.

At the moment, I'm not sure what demand we have, but I'll talk to him shortly.
