DRZ 400sm - High reving when hot?

I have a 2008 400sm. Starts great and idlessmooth when cool but as soon as it gets warm (10minutes) it wants to idle high. It will come down if I force the clutch at a stop but often then climbs back to high idle. Is this a temperature switch which raises rpm to increase amperage for the rad fan? Anyone else experience this?

Bought it used and thought maybe there was a carb swap by a previous owner- not sure. Its not a serious problem. Based on the fuel economy (70+miles/gal) I would say the carburator is good. BTW I love the bike.

My 2008 DR Z400S was high reving, Hole Shot fixed it up; some internal adjustments in the carb. After the adjustment; it needed more air; removed the snorkel for the air box, a lot more power now.

Have tried pulling the choke? Does the idle go down? Sounds almost like it is too lean.

+1
Adjust idle with the engine warm (if you hear hoof beats, expect a horse not a zebra)
