Here is what I was talking about, if you remove the metal ring on the e header you can slide the muffler on an extra 1/2 inch.
Then you can use the stock mid mount. (I removed my rear footpegs)
The e muffler mounts up to the stock rear mount just like the s muffler.
If you want to put the heat guard back on you have to do a bit of modification to it (remember the 1/2 inch)

I think that the e muffler does get a little better airflow. The head pipe diameter is going from 1 1/4 to 1 5/8 of an inch so there has to be some benefit. Can you notice the difference? I don't know. I like to say you can, but that might just be because I spent the 100 bucks on the e muffler system.
