DSBC MAJOR DOWNTIME

Hey kids,

As you no doubt noticed, DSBC experienced a MAJOR outage over the past week. There were several difficulties and our host and software provider was simply not responding. So...

We moved to a new host and installed some new software. That's why the whole thing looks all slick and cool now. There's a bunch of new features to play with, but we should expect a few bugs that we can iron out in the coming weeks. At least we're running again...

Our forum would be down for several more days if it weren't for Jeff.

The (former) site host had some sort of outage / system failure, and simply did not respond to any of our pleas.

Jeff guided the rest of us (Tom, Neil, Judy & I) through what needed to be done and what our options were. We would have been screwed without him.

Jeff / JetDog Solutions is already a busy IT business. Jeff juggled his workload & sleep schedule and made time for fixing OUR site. We are sincerely grateful, and would ask that you send real business his way if the opportunity ever presents.

Thanks to all of you for your patience this past week while your beloved forum was on the fritz.

I was watching this closely, as it was the ONE time in my life where I actually had a pressing need for forum access, rather than just twiddling away my time. Yeah, Murphy's Law in action. You can blame me for the outage.

Anyway, corrupt database, mucked DNS, it was looking pretty sad there for a while. You guys did a great job of bringing it back up - even my cached login credentials carried over. Pretty impressive. Being a tech myself, I know what it's like on your side of the wire.

Good Job Jeffery... You have proved once again, that you are the best.. I know you are waiting for some sarcasim, but not this time.. I will now be able to tell my grandkids, that I knew Jeff in his prime!!
