Not sure I would consider it scenic, but TB is actually pretty good for new riders, or riders that are a little rusty. Lots of areas to practice without worrying about falling off a cliff :) A couple of us that can't make it to the noob ride on Sunday are going to mess around at TB on Sunday at about 1PM. Pop by and say hello. I'll be on the red Husky.

Thanks for all the reply and suggestion guys! I so badly want to go on this noobie ride but unfortunately i have a golf tournament to get ready for on monday. TB sounds like a fun place to practice so maybe you will see me there tomorrow for a little bit. If i cant make it tomorrow hopefully i can get out with you guys sometime in the near future!

Welcome aboard!

There are a few trails in Squamish from real technical to not as tech. Then there's the plethora of logging roads/FSR all around there too. You can go in as close as Furry Creek (only 30mins away:D) and over to Britannia. Really scenic there! I haven't been out that way lately but I imagine there's snow on much of it.

Backroads Mapbooks has a bunch in it too.

Hey, I'm new too, just got a wr250x w/dirt tires. I've gone up to eagle mountain in Coquitlam a few times. Seems like there are tons of awesome trails up there. I'm looking for other beginner - mid level riders to ride with around Vancouver. Msg me if you want to go!

Most of the actual trails up on Eagle are being built/maintained by the mountainbike community, strongly suggest you don't ride them on a moto unless you are sure they are moto-friendly. Guaranteed to stir up a hornet's nest if the mtb crowd catches a moto on "their*" trails. The FSR's of course are fine, but the only one that's really beginner-friendly is the ride up to the lookout over Buntzen Lake. The Cypress Lake FSR is a pretty hard climb, though it certainly can be ridden.

*yes, yes, I'm very familiar with the long history of this area and know better than many on this board that these are mostly ex moto trials lines, and skidder trails before that. Point is, they were largely abandoned by the moto guys 20 years ago and largely adopted and maintained by the MTB guys since then (FWIW, I play in both camps) and there's little point in picking a fight over it.

I only know of T.B. near Vancouver. You really have to go to Mission or Chilliwack and toward Squamish.
