That's a good point except anyone who gives you a quote that high might not be a place you would want to deal with alot, that price just seemed like he was taking you for a sucker.

On another topic I like your bike, how does she sound with that exhaust?

I think it sounds great. Also, its much quieter than my DRZ was with the full exhaust.

I am gonna have to go for a rip today, I think I see sun.

You and your bro heading out any time soon?

Ya, I met that one person once. I think she was his mother.

The best place in Van. for BMW service is at Shails. He was an 'official factory' dealer before BMW went 'Boutique' and pulled his dealership for not wanting to spend $2 million on a new storefront to cater to the yuppie poseurs. His shop is in East Van. on Pender near Commercial.

That's because your 950 has a 2 hour book rate for an oil change. I guess it takes that long to remove all the bodywork, change the two oil filters , the mesh screen, and purge the air from the oil system and fill it with $70 of synthetic oil?
Or is it the 5 hours to adjust the valves?
Yeah that sounds cheaper :)

All bikes have servicing qwerks. Ever tried changing or servicing the battery on a GS or GS/CS650? Same thing. Remove all the bodywork and raise the fuel tank then try and SQEEEEZE the battery out of its little hole. That is why GS batteries are so small. Of course then when the temperature drops to 5 degrees C or lower your bike won't start. Ask me how I know.
My Triumph Thruxton had the battery under the seat. The seat was BOLTED on. The tool kit? You don't get one! So, you carry the seat wrench in your pocket or tankbag.

I service both our 950's and I can do an oil change in under 1 hr. You guys might charge $70 for your special 'BMW' synthetic, but I don't pay that much where I shop.
