DRZ ? I am sorry I did not mention DRZ as that is a given. My ride profile is very simple and the machine must match the application. This I have learned in over 100,000 km of traveling in Western Canada on motorcycles.
I will ride approx 600 to 800 hundred km to get to the off road area (mostly remote), then usually 100 to 200 km off road then end of day slab back to West Van.
This is a tall order for any machine and as we do live in the rain forest the weather mostly 2* and rain is a big factor. I have left for three day trips in August and experience 2* and rain for hundreds of km.
Maybe this is why I have a "screw loose". I do not have time this year to build up a DRZ to fit the mission and would like an "off the shelf" bike for the season. Of course when Offworlder get through to me I could be eating all my previous posts.
I hope he is not cranky this morning. Well it is 5 am Sunday morning and I have bikes to repair. So off to the shop I go.

Not sure why a DRZ isn't on the discussion 'list'......it ticks quite a few boxes, simple, reliable, fun, economical.
just my 2 cents
