Fitting clarke tank on ?KLX400

Just did a trial fit of my clarke tank. Looked pretty good apart from
1) Choke knob was impeded beyond half way. I've cut the top 1/3rd off the knob so that should be better
2) Vaccum tube to petcock was too short - new tube *should* be easy to find.
3) Can't see how I'm going to get the front support wire thro the frame. Does it matter?

So then I'll have a KLX which has almost all yellow plastic and has no Kawa branding. Is it still a KLX? 8-}

That wire was tricky on my DRZ but it did go through, just took some work. The vacuum hose was shortened on mine to fit the Clarke tank. Mine also had a smaller choke knob that didn't hit the petcock.

check the cable hangers welded to the frame up front, had to bend mine forward so they didn't rub on the tank.
I ran longer fuel and vacuum lines.
No problems with the support wire.
definitely a great upgrade.

Choke works great
replacing vacuum line looked ugly - so put an extention in - EZ PZ and works well
Support wire went in smoothly - U guys were right
No problems with gas line
Had to move the brackets for my spitfire screen as they were hitting tank on full lock

Now tell me - it is still a KLX?
