I know I know, I look at those Dakar bikes and can totally see following the Dakar circus - one year. Just not this year or next. I know I will miss Big Kate the minute she's gone, but I have fallen in lust with her younger skinnier sister! Call it a midlife crisis, I guess.
BTW, I hope everyone is tuning into my NEW FAVOURITE TELEVISION NETWORK OLN!!! Yes, they have been removed from the shit-list by providing day by day coverage of the Dakar each day at 12:30 and 4:30 PST. Of course I'm recording them!!
I guess all of the bitching we did paid off somewhere along the line, although I still miss Toby Moody - I think he's doing the commentating on the South African/Australian coverage. (Tina, can't wait for an invite when you get it...)
Cheers! (and thanks for the bump) I am going to put an ad in the Buy&Sell for Big Kate here, do you think I should strip off the Touratech goodies and panniers to drop the price to $8200+ or so? I can always sell that stuff on advrider pretty damn quick.
I think that for slightly more than the price of a new KLR or DRZ400S, you can get a KTM with under 15000kms would be attractive to some.
