Thought I'd make a seperate post for this. Looking to meet at my place at 10 A..M Sat. and hitting Grey Creek. Anyone reading this is welcome and can P.M. me for the address. Looking forward to doing it as it's my first time going over. Come one come all.:tup:

Hi 250ccforme

I went through Grey Creek on Saturday with Speedyxr and Ripple. A great ride on a beautiful afternoon. Left from the Kimberley side and went straight through for a lunch stop in Crawford Bay. No snow at all.

I got to test ride two bikes new to me, it was a little bit if heaven. Thanks Speedy! How much weight could you shave of the XR?

I was going to say I didn't see your yami there. How'sit going we haven't been for a ride yet, maybe soon. For my money I'd take the kdx, but i like lots of singletrack.

Lol. If I had my way I wouldn't have to choose. KDX is sweet and enjoyed reaquainting myself with the 2 stroke hit and feedback via the song from the pipe. The XR would be great for doubleing and exploring/traveling farther afield. The easily controlled "big block" feel is pretty damn cool too, I giggled out loud while playing with it. I still enjoy my little bike in comparison which says something about it's character. I did have a couple of baubles on the ride home due to my foot hitting the ground about 6" earlier than expected.
