I'm looking at Shoei Hornet or a Arai XD3 helmet. Has anyone purchased one of these helmets from the U.S. ? The Canadian prices appear to be more expensive. I say appear, because i haven't allowed for duty,exchange,gst and shipping.

I would appreciate any feedback you guys can give.


I'm a new rider and will be taking my training in the spring. I will need to buy everything, boots,gloves,helmet,pants,jacket.

It will would not hurt to ask a local Dealer if they would match US prices.


I bought my Arai XD3 on sale locally and got a good deal.

I agree 100% on this,Get a price from your local dealer and see what he can do first.Our dealers need our help to survive.

There is a guy in our town,Every saturday he comes in the shop and drinks the owners coffee and then goes onabout all the great deals he got on Fleabay.But never gets a quote on any thing from my buddy.:X

You guys are right. I really would like to keep the money in Langley. There is no shortage of shops in town. I just figured with such a big gap in prices they couldn't possibly be competitive with the U.S. Prices.
I will give it a try this week and let you know what happens.
