FOUND 1:10PM /7 AND HOME NOW - SEE UPDATE ON BOB IN LAST THREAD: My husband, just text 'On my way home today'. Don't know whee he is but this is good news! Thanks everyone!!!

Bob, has dementia and was last seen at 9:55am at the Legends in Whistler on his Triumph Tiger sport touring bike with side paneers (black). He is 64 yrs old, 5'6", Black Nylon motorcycle gear, grey beard. Not sure color of motorcycle full helmet or jacket. He texted me at 6:49pm on July 6th that his bike fell on the rocks in the gravel (assuming dirt road) and he can't get it up. He said he'll sleep there tonight and hope someone sees him tomorrow. I'm concerned his phone will die and he won't be able to get help. Don't believe he has camping gear as it was a day ride out of Whistler Creekside where he has a room through Friday 7/10. Don't believe he has much food or water.

Common rides with his buddies in the past are Pemberton to Lillooet, then there is a dirt road that parallels 12 south then heads through the mountains and comes out at East Harrison Hot Springs. Or North out of Pemberton and down past Gold Bridge and Carpenter Lake. Two other lesser possibilities are Boston Bar to Lillooet west of the river, D'arcy to Seton Portage then over to Carpenter Lake to gold bridge. Raz took East Harrison route and didn't find him on that route. A sighting in Gold Bridge may not have been him after all. We believe there is confirmation of Seton Gas station at 2pm 7/6/20.

Could you put out the alert to your biker buddies and take a ride on any of these routes and call me to let me know that you found him or he isn't there. RMCP tried pinging his phone but it is not responding. Since I don't know where he is, they can't go look for him.

PLEASE HELP 206-713-7038 I'm in Bellingham Washington

@Paine - can you share his intended route, and last known location? Assuming he doesnt have a Spot or InReach?
Last known location was The Legends in Whistler Creek at 9:55am July 6, 2020. He has a SPOT but I don't believe he knows how to use it anymore with his Dementia. His buddies feel he'd be on one of the routes I mention below. He usually goes where he is familiar. I just got a call from Raz who will ride the Harrison to Pemberton route to see if he is there now at 12:25am July 7, 2020. Can anyone try any of the other routes tonight or in the morning? We may be able to narrow down where he is not. Search and Rescue is not answering so I will email them tonight and call them tomorrow morning. THANK YOU SO MUCH RAZ and to anyone else that responds!!!

Thank you so much. Raz and his friend responded they'll ride the Harrison to Pemberton route at 12:36am July 7, 2020. Need others possibly tomorrow morning to check the other routes: North out of Pemberton and down past Gold Bridge and Carpenter Lake. Two other lesser possibilities are Boston Bar to Lillooet west of the river, D'arcy to Seton Portage then over to Carpenter Lake to gold bridge.

Whistler Search and rescue closed. I emailed them with the information as well and the phone number for Raz for coordination. Thanks so much Raz and everyone who is reposting to other forums. The motorcycle world rocks!!!

DO NOT CALL OR TEXT OR EMAIL SEARCH AND RESCUE. That’s not how it works. Call 911 (since you’re in Bellingham perhaps the nonemergency number to Whistler RCMP) and tell them about your missing husband. They will determine whether search and rescue needs to be involved or if they will use their own resources. Do this now.

Thanks, I called RCMP yesterday 7/6/20 and he said they can't search if they don't know where he is. So I posted on this forum if anyone in the area can ride the routes he typically takes so we can narrow them down. What I'm hearing from RCMP is they can't help without knowing where to search (I gave RCMP the 4 routes my husband typically rides, but he said it is too big an area). RCMP tried pinging his phone and it wouldn't respond. Any other ideas? He spent the night in 48 degrees or below. I don't know how much food or water he has.

MY HUSBAND WITH DEMENTIA STILL NEEDS HELP 7/7/20. HE WENT DOWN ON A DIRT ROAD ON HIS MOTORCYCLE. SPENT THE NIGHT IN 48 DEGREES OR LOWER. DON'T KNOW IF HE HAS FOOD OR WATER. RMCP SAID THEY CAN'T DO SEARCH AND RESCUE UNLESS THEY KNOW WHERE TO LOOK. I PROVIDED 4 PLACES ON THESE POSTS (AND TO RCMP) THAT HE TYPCIALLY RIDES. TWO PEOPLE WENT OUT AT 12:28AM LAST NIGHT TO RIDE THE HARRISON TO PEMBERTON ROUTE. HAVEN'T HEARD BACK YET. CAN ANYONE RIDE ANY OF THE OTHER THREE ROUTES TODAY? North out of Pemberton and down past Gold Bridge and Carpenter Lake. Two other lesser possibilities are Boston Bar to Lillooet west of the river, D'arcy to Seton Portage then over to Carpenter Lake to gold bridge.

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL HELP BUT IF YOUR RIDING TODAY KEEP A LOOK OUT

PAINE, PLEASE post here if you hear anything at all. Some members are going to head out and ride some of the popular routes for that type bike.

Members if you have Inreach add [email protected] and message to update all. I will monitor the emails and forum and update any news back to members and or Paine. (This works on Spot and Zoleo too if you add [email protected] to your contacts in your device.

You can also Post here if you are riding a specific route so others know it has been done.

This scenario actually happens a lot when searchers I don’t know the Last Known Position of the subject. Send a message to all the search and rescue organizations in the area that he would be riding through, also send it to BCSARA and any media outlets.
And stay in touch the RCMP. In my experience, they respond to pressure from loved ones.

A member, Bryn, posted this in the Facebook group....

I posted this in the Goldbridge area community page. Here is the response.---------------------------------------------------------------- We came across him at the bridge in Gold bridge he was looking for directions to Darcy, so he was last headed down the 40 to the dam over mission mountain and planning on taking the high line route. We have call and spoke to his wife. Keep your eyes peeled. His wife is contacting the Lillooet RCMP

I CALLED THE LILLOOET RCMP AFTER CARA BELIEVES SHE SAW MY HUSBAND IN GOLD BRIDGE AND DIRECTED HIM "down the 40 to the dam over mission mountain and planning on taking the high line route". LILLOOET RCMP DID GET SEARCH AND RESCUE INVOLVED. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THEM. I'LL POST WHEN I HEAR BACK. USING ALL CAPS SO YOU KNOW IT IS ME RESPONDING. ANOTHER PERSON CALLED SAYING HE THOUGHT HE SAW HIM IN PEMBERTON AROUND LUNCH TIME. WE BELIEVE HE HEADED TO GOLD BRIDGE FROM THERE AND THEN "down the 40 to the dam over mission mountain and planning on taking the high line route" AROUND 6PM 6/6/20. HE TEXTED ME AT 6:49PM 6/6/20 THAT HIS BIKE WENT DOWN. THAT'S THE LAST I HEARD FROM HIM.
