I run the E09 on my 450, they last amazingly!!! Had them on my 650R and same!

I ride 90% dirt 10% street.....the trick is to run them at about 12psi.....Last week I ran them at 6psi just to see.....it worked better in the dirt.....they are so stiff you can run them flat....

I dont like how they corner in the dirt since there are no side knobs but as long as you keep more upright they work fine

I agree....E09 on the rear of my Sherco. First one with over 3000km still useable. Put a fresh one on for the Dead Zone and ran the A loop in the morning with no problems. Decent on pavement, decent off road and I would expect you could get 5000 km out of one. Resists knobs chunking off as it has large square knobs.

Cheap too!

I used to drop pressures but it works okay with about 19psi on both pavement and dirt.

There are higher performance tires available but these are a good compromise.

What KENDA are u using?

I Have used3 K271's on the rearand they seem to last prety good and grab good in the dirt or on the street. But u can't drop the pressure too much. And I wouldn't reccomend it on the front.

I found the E-09 was prety slick on the dry dirt due to the big square knobies.

I would have to put my vote in for the Mitas E09 Dakar

Ran them for 4500 kms most of thosekm in Bajaand still had some life left in them. Fantastic on gravel roads, not sure about the mud, and yes you can ride them flat. Pre ride for the Dead Zone I road for almost 30 kms (back side ofCornwall Hills back to Spences Bridge) Just had to throw a new tube in and I was ready to go.:tup:

I will ride Baja again with a new set of these

Yup I got the set, in fact I am still running the front Mitas E09 Dakar today, looking a little warn and tired after 8000 kms but it still hooks up. I will be changing it soon but I cant say enough good things on how these tires have performed.

My preference is for a more aggressive knobby on the front. I use the Michelin Enduro 3 which is DOT approved. I got about 5000 km on the original. It was okay on pavement and quite decent off road for a road legal knobby.

I put a Mitas DOT knobby on the front of my old DRZ and it worked good and was cheap. I see a few folks running that combination. I haven't tried the Dakar front so can't comment but will mention the E09 comes in two models, standard ply and a heavier version called the Dakar more suitable to a heavier bike. I use the standard ply on my Sherco. Tom uses the stiffer Dakar model.
