Well, call 250 494-1259 and ask for Dustin. He's got one on the floor, (works replica), saw it the other day and it looks SWEEET! Shouldn't be too tough to D/S it either...

I know the whole crew at Kenco, it's my Saturday home away from home....in fact two more sleeps I will be back there:tup:Ken now has all the paperwork for his HB, he'll be insuring it soon. Hopefully things work out, so far it's been a rough year house wise with renos. In the meantime I still have my DRZ, which I do love, but the Husabergs are the rats a$$:ted:

The last time through Ken's I drooled over the Hussy also.
Too many other toys cutting into my budget for it though (and my wife would kill me).

Speaking of budgets & Ken, I have to call him as I got him to order me some parts and I owe him for some work.

Hey Malachi,

I just read on Thumpertalk that you'd taken Dave's GasGas FSE for a burn. So what's the deal with the clutch? I've read lots of things about that bike, but a tough neutral hasn't been one of them. Curious if there isn't a fix.
As for the Husaberg, Dave seemed impressed with it. Till he broke a finger on it.

I'm not sure what the "neutral"deal was with the GG. The bike is a bit lighter than the DRZ (it had the 10 litre aftermarket tank on it) but felt top heavy. The first thing I noticed was the vibration compared to the DRZ, way more. The suspension was great, the side stand was downright scary as hell, it started right up, FI is great on this bike. The clutch had the lightest pull of any bike I've ever ridden, really easy for tight trail work, the feel was vague though, almost like on or off. I could get used to it though. I rode it around Dave's property for a bit, and when I pulled up at the shop to shut her down, I couldn't find neutral.....1-2, 2-1 back and forth for about 5 minutes. I turned the bike off, and it shifted into neutral fine. Truly weird, I told Dave as well, he seemed startled. I do like the GG, would I own one.......not sure. If it came down to a GG or a Husaberg though, I'd get the HB.

Hello!

I'm a long-time dual-sporter, newbie dualsportbc-er. I've got a FE400 that I'm currently getting plated for dual-purpose. I've had many bikes, gotta say I love my Husaberg.

Aaron.

I'm lucky enough to have the e-button on mine. Welcome to the site. Don't think any but the 2 of us are on 'Bergs!

Yeah I got the button too. Mines an 03 400e. Lucky is right though. Lucky if your e-start works properly. Its the only wart on my bike. Gotta be the worst electic start setup i've ever heard of.

I actually have no problems with mine. If it's a cold morning or I'm using thicker oil, I just kick it. Rest of the time it works just fine.....

Bayner, where did you get your bike? Did you get it new? Where do you get parts?

I got mine with 7hrs on it in Jan 07. Sitting in a guys garage for 3 years collecting carb varnish. Runs great, I'm really enjoying it. No dealerships on the coast so I've been doing all my part shopping online with American stores.

I bought it new in 2006 from Okanagan Motorsports (it's an '05). They're in Summerland. I get my parts through them also.Adrenaline in Victoria may be your closest.

You'll want to check out this site too, very nice to have a large group to draw experience from for an otherwise rare bike in these parts!

Kenco motorcycles in Victoria (Sooke) is a Husaberg dealer as well.....best shop in town in my opinion. I've bought 4 bikes there, nice family owned business.
