If your trying to reach the shop try www.5thgear.ca . [email protected], 604 244 7666 if you don't get thru leave a message.

The SMR 610 feels incredibly light compared to a DRZ 400 or a KTM 640 like about 100 lbs lighter when riding. I have a demo 610 people can try anytime I absolutely love the bike it's been over 1 year with it and it runs flawlessly.

Parts are easy to get , service intervals are every 10000km and the resale is great

What on earth could a TE450 be 'smaller' than? A horse?

J/K from a guy with a 30" inseam. :hb:

I registered / insured my TE450 a few weeks ago, following the instructions from 5th Gear (he went through hoops to get an exemption). No problems whatsoever with ICBC.

Buy one & fling mud at the poseurs on the orange pukers / calvers.

Sorry, no offense meant by the "smaller" question. I assumed the 610 was street legal, and meant smaller in comparison of displacement only compared to that one. My bad, and most humblest of aplogies. ;) By the way, whats a "calver"?:?

Ian, why are you selling yours?

I got it originally with a month long trip to Baja which never transpired. It's a difficult decision, but I am 'over-biked' and took the decision that a combination of leaving it new and the fact that there are no more to come up this year (so I understand) might make the sale less painfull.

Someone's going to do well out of it though, it's an awsome bike.:(

A fairly old driver / mechanic term for catastrophic engine failures; which typically fall into two categories: an engine 'pukes' or 'calves'. 'tis an interesting visual.

IfI had a spare $9K lying around she'd be in the back of my truck right now. Good luck with the sale.
