Ya the under grip ones are everywhere.

I heard that there are some for over the grips though.

I just wanted to put a headlight plug onto the wires, and then flip the headlight to hi beam to power the grips, if the high beam was unplugged from the bulb, and to the grip heater.

Then it could move from bike to bike esilyand be universally powered.

So if you see any over grip ones, please let me know...thanks

Heated grips are the only way to go

I use the Symtec they are available through MTR Sports, the nice thing about these is they have two heat settings with seperate windings (instead of a big resistor)

They are cheap and worth putting on under your grips, you will never have cold hand, great for riding in cold or wet weather. I ride with summer gloves all year round

If you buy a set of foam grips (they fit over your regular grips)the road guys use you can put the heater under them and use them as a temp set up.

Hi Tom,

Thanks, and question for you.

What are the foam grips that slip over called by brand name, if you have it?

Thanks

ps. i want to move them quickly from bike to bike, hence not installing them permanently.....but have a COLD ride coming up soon, that will be about 2 days of 12 hours a day riding .

Here you go, I have fairly large hands and like the larger grip feel with a set of these over my regular grips

Oxford makes what you're looking for, they wraparound and velcro on, work O.K., but they are bulky, so I use em on my mtn bike only, I would not recommend them for day/day use, just buy the proper onesand put them on all things with two wheels. Hook them up to the high beam circuit???? thats wacko, you'd have to have highs on all day, and that circuit would be even more overloaded, high beam AND heated grips = blown fuse, at best. suck it up, eat the 50 bucks install a switch/fuse, badda bing done.

I had a pair that velcroed on, and i put a headlight end on the wires, to make them quick to put on any bike.

I simply reached in, and unplugged the high beam headlite, and plugged it into the grips.

Then when I wanted the grips on, toggled the headlight switch to high beam, and that powered my grips.

Would be useless if you rode at night though, as you no longer have high beam if you do it that way.

Anyways I found a set here in town in stock finally, many calls later.
