Maybe we should just go riding! I was out in Chilliwack riding day before yesterday, so sweet! Trails were damp and fast, and it wasn't really muddy.
I'll rev the bike up for the vid cam and post it soon. It sorta sounds like a streetbike with a stock pipe, very smooth and quiet. I like it.

It finally warmed up enough here in the okanagan where we can go for a ride around town. This was my first ride with the new can. I was impressed. The bike pulls harder right across the whole rpm range. The sound is not loud , but very sweet. The pricewas a little more than I originally wanted to spend, but I think it was worth it. Would I recommend it to another KTM owner?..Yes.

Looks cool Ken, can't wait to come on up to Kelowna and ride. I'll be posting something soon about a pending week long trip (holiday) I will have May 30th to June 5 up in the Okanagan and Thompson Plateau. Wifey has a horseshow in Armstrong that week, so we'll be driving up on the Monday, and I will ride Tues-Sun. I'm trying for the DualsportBCTrifecta
Tues/Wed - ride with theKelowna gang
Thurs/Fri - ride up to Quesnel maybe to ride with Russel Dyck if he's avail.
Sat/Sun - ride back to Armstrong via Kamloops rowdies.
Anyway, hoping to put some nice rides/bike camping together for that week. Paging Ged Schwartz, Ged Schwartz to the white courtesy phone.

I won't sell you mine, but you may use it for your trip. Just lemme have it back when you're done!
I have added 8 discs to it, so it flows a little nicer over the stock 8 discs.

Thanks, I just might take you up on that.
I have a 165 main jet, I am thinking with that I might not need to go stock pipe as it is not running lean as I suspected.Still wondering what happened...!
I am told to expect only low grade low octane up in the Yukon, that plus the fact that I am still blaming the low octane down here for my problem. Maybe some octane boost in the saddles will be a good thing for up north.....
Still worried, my confidence was rocked...! I need to put some km's on in the next few weeks....!
Thanks any way for the pipe but if I go with your pipe I will have to jet down also.

You can select a different ignition map on your bike if you run into real poor octane fuel. The KTM has a connection on the harness that will change the ignition map if you open it up. I think BajaDave put a toggle switch on his "dash" because he rides Baja often.
I'm still wondering what smoked your engine. Could have just been catastrophic ring failure, or dirt from the low fuel, bad fuel, plugging a jet making it run ultra lean? Seems pretty remote chance however. What about a stuck float needle pouring gasoline into your hot cylinder head...:?
Call me and we'll put some miles on. Ride with a buddy (and carry a tow strap) Kidding!
