Just like last year, I can't find a thread with the starting time and location, is it hidden in encryption somewhere that I can't find or purposely left out to keep the party crashers out? Is it something you have to be in the loop to know to keep numbers down and keep newbies out?

Can someone point me to the relevant thread?

I believe breakfast starts around 8am - there's usually coffee and a good breakfast for a $5 donation. Normally there's also a lunch available upon return to the staging area as well.

BCORMA trail passes and DSBC swag is available - typically $60 for both.

Riders meeting is usually somewhere between 9 and 10am - One of the moderators will jump in and point us to the right info.

Thanks Ian, I think you have it right, this year the food and coffee will be provided by DSBC Volunteers, I have no idea what they have planned

It will be muddy this year with all the rain

The A and B riders can expect some snow on their routes, we did them last weekend

For you guys that want to air down your tires I will bring an air compressor to the staging area if you want to air up before the ride home

The start of the Newbie Ride will once again be out the new Tamahi Staging Area in Chilliwack. From Vedder Road travel down Chilliwack Lake Road. Once you cross the first bridge turn right on the first gravel FSR (Tamahi/Liumchen FSR). Go past the first camping area, over the bridge, past the next camping area and the Staging area is on the left. it's about 1/2km off of the paved road.

Look for the DSBC yellow banners. We should have them up on the gate at the staging area.

Just wanted to say a heartfelt Thank You to Tom, Judy and all of the volunteers who made
the magic happen. Appreciate how much work went into putting on this great event.
I had so much fun, met some great people in my group on the "B" ride, and couldn't stop
smiling and laughing all day. The route was perfect, challenging but do-able. Hard enough
that I was pleased with myself for doing it. What a gas:) fantastic day!

Again, Thank You all for this special day.
I absolutely loved every minute.

Excellent day and thanks bitingdog for pulling my WR off me 3 times.
My little toe is very purple and a little larger than it should be.

Thanks to all sponsors and volunteers that made this ride possible...
Good to see such a large turnout (with this weather...)
I saw a lot of smiles on the faces of riders as they returned!
It was a great sucess!
