Hello, I am looking for a person named Mark. I use to live next to you up in Citedal Heights area in Port Coquitlam. Your truck had a dualsportbc sticker on it i believe. Id always see you work on your bikes when I was younger. I use to live just a few houses down. I use to ride sport bikes now I ride a 2007 Husqvarna SM610

I am wondering if anyone knows him or maybe you are on here.

If you are on here still can you please send me a email at [email protected] or pm me. I am wondering if you can help me out on doing some work on my bike, mainly valve adjustment. We can work out compensation. Sorry if im pointing you out :p

or if there is anyone else that can help me out doing my first valve adjustment, that would be awesome!

thank you,
scott

Hi Scott.
I still live in the same house.
I know how to check the valves on my 450's, but your 610 is a completely different engine so i won't be able to help. Bill @ 5th gear is reasonable & a great resource.
Regards,
mark

yea, ive been talking to Bill. He's a tough guy to get a hold of. is there any pointers that you get give me? I bought a motion pro feeler gauge. I hear all over the husky forums most people are using a straw to find TDC. after that then start adjusting valves with feeler guage. Im just searching for someone to watch over my back sort of thing. Hopefully Bill slows down so maybe I can bring the bike to him and he can give me a run through of doing it.

I am not sure many shops would be up for training you to do the work they make a living at, most don't allow customers into the shop.

Like scottbc says, lots of youtubes, thumpertalk has a good blog.

i've done it few times on te610. not that hard. found a really good video i'll try and find it for you. it's really not that hard. the only thing i remeber is that you got to deseamle the whole bike around the engine. even the take off the rad's.
