Hey DSBCers
Looking to get together with some Campbell River dualsporters to help me get some use out of my new(to me) bike.
I have a plated KLX250S that is collecting dust. It should be collecting KMs and dirt. I grew up on motorbikes and mountain bike almost every day but I only have a couple-few hundred KMs on a motorbike in the last 20years. So I'm not going to bs... I'm green.
Also... I don't have easy access to a trailer so I ran down an got my learners class-6. Still have to ride in sight of a fully licensed class-6 holder though. Pretty funny doing that kind of stuff over again after driving for 28 or so years.
I hear the pit up near McIvor lake has some groups that get together on sundays but I'm not sure that is my kind of thing, esp being so green and not knowing nobody up there anyways. So I think the best thing would be someone(s) with plated and licensed bikes in the CR area who are interested in more exploration type riding rather than MX trail bashing.
My KLX250 isn't much fun on asphalt but I can get about 220-250kms of dirt under it before it runs dry. Not too bad but it can't hang with a big bike without stopping for fuel during the day. The photos of the rides like the McNeil guys post up have me jealous. Looks like where I want to be.
