Anybody want the company of a 650RR and a vet dirt riderOn the A loop?

I am planning on doing the "A" loop on my 690R so let's ride it together. I have been busy scratching paint and pastic off it for the last few months to make it lighter and easier to ride!
I picked up a roll chart and Camelebak from Gnary Parts. It only took 3 days to my door so there is still time to get ready!

Sounds like a "just because they said we shouldn't". Wish I had time to get a bigger tank so I don't have to pack gas on my back.
Shure hope they get the rain we are getting today.

What time you guy's starting sat am? I was planning on doing the b plus just to see what dorky has put together,as it looks like a lot of fun. But watching a couple of bigger bikes on the hill, may be worth the price of admission! Also first guy there usually get's salvage rights on any wreckage he finds! ( think relic from beachcomber's day's. Now where the hell did i leave my touque? )

You should go to the hill early and wait at the bottom with your camera...maybe even halfway down:D

I was told the B+ route is the way to go

But I could change my mind at any time

Oh, come on guys. The B2 is still a B. Something you should do some day but the A is where it's at for you guys. B2 and A share a few bits and pieces but for a serious rider you need to ride the A. Reid has a bunch of new stuff in the A that you guys who rode it last year will enjoy.

good time to share the blame! Rosco, El Murr, and 04klr/Wayne-ster have helped me a huge amount. i have'nt laid out, flagged and arrowed a ride/race loop for quite a while. i forgot how much time it REALLY DOES TAKE! much less with a roll chart to boot. Wayne's A loop of last year was a great ride,so i just wanted to change it up a bit, so you guy's and gals got something different as you went along. we hope you like it! if so let us know,if not-sorry we closed the complaint desk (short staffed) about a week ago,so your SOL if you've got a problem. thks to RTR honda/ktm for the arrows that will help get you through the ride, and back to the river and a cold brew at the end of the day. hope to see and meet you all next weekend. cactusreid

Didn't Al finish Baja 1000 in 2009? The oldest class is 60+...Al is 70+ ??

At last year's Loose Screw Al and two other pensioners (Al, Max, and ??) left at least an hour behind the rest of the A riders and came home before many of them. I was told their combined age may have been over 210?? True? Old wive's tale?

they now have a 70+ class at the baja 1000-any guess's who for? Al took first overall in 70+ at the oddessa desert 100 in april this year. not to mention that he beat most of his riding buddies that are in the 50 age group in. I REALLY WONDER WHY HE DOESN'T PICK ON SOME ONE HIS OWN AGE? dorky yes he rode the baja 1000 with a few other old fast guy's last november. i'm not sure how they placed, but i'm betting it was good.al and max live in the sunpeaks area-the loose screw country is their playground!

Al is 71, Max is 62. They could ride double and still beat all of us.

There was a hill on B2? Dorky?? Why didn't we do "the hill"??? That settles it I'm doing the A loop.

Ha!! I'm pretty sure the hill in question is on the A route. You are truly magic on that beast my friend but I fear you have thrown down the challenge...

The 690 does okay on single track. I have ridden a bunch of good stuff, mostly blue trail, at McNutt and had little problem. I hadn't ridden a moto in 24 years until I got the 690 last year and thought it was great trail bike. Then a buddy lent me his KTM 200 XC at McNutt and the 200XC felt like I was riding my down hill mountain bike!
