The mild motor of the 125 sure is nice on the slippery stuff. I sure don't miss the 300 in the white.

As for the boots........if you're nice, I may tell you where to get some.

Hey there Maple man, how is the snow level up on the mountain now....I was in Maple Bay this afternoon and I was shocked that there is no snow there anymore! Makes me think we can finally pull off this ride up there!

I was out on Sunday and could only make it just over half way up the Maple Syrup single track. I am anticipating I may have some clean up to do on the trails to clear wind/snowfall debris. The access roads (M600) still have over a foot of wet snow in places. I will check the trails again this weekend but I think we will need some rain to wash away more of the white stuff before it will be worthwhile to reschedule this group ride.

I will report back after the weekend.

Thanks for the update!WE rode in Victoria last Sunday and it was wet, but, no snow! Nice to be out after so long! Most of the snow is gone here in Shawnigan so I think we will ride behind the house this Sun. But, very much want to do the Maple Mountain ride soon! Keep us up to date OK.

Hey there Maple man, how are things looking up on the mountain.... We rode in Shawnigan behind our house on last Sun. It was weird. hardest part was getting up to the logging road from the house. All in the shade, and about 6inches of frozen snow still. Once up in the sunshine, barely a trace to be found. We rode in all of our normal areas! Wondering where to go this Sun. Let us know!

The trails on the sunny side of the mountain are rideable. Other than the fallen trees I had to clear, I was able to make it all the way to the top on the single track. It was a bit difficult coming down the logging road as there is still lots of snow in the shade.

I have a bit more chain saw work to do on the side trails so I hope to continue the trail clearing this weekend.

Maple is rideable but we should probably wait a few more weeks before we call out the gang for the big ride. I hope we don't get any more snow this weekend.

Your right rosco, everytime I have to push you and your bikeup hills, you do usuallyspray some dirton me. But no worries, I don't mind helping friends out:p

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the delayed response. The trails are all clear... of snow. I am not quite finished clearing all of the windfall yet but I am getting close. It was nice out there today. I'll try to connect with you tomorrow.

Bring a hand or chain saw as you may run into a few road blocks.

Ok then, it is late Sat night and I am just trying to pull my foot out of the TV after the Canucks game. I will check here again in the morning to see who is going, and then see if we are going to hook up with you all.10 am at the gate.......
