May 2nd Horne Lake ride

Any Comox Valley riders up for a spin around Horne Lake to Melrose or Port Alberni. Four of us so far are planning for Saturday meeting at Cook Creek Road near Deep Bay about 20min south on the new highway. I will be trailering my bike to Cook Creek if anyone else needs a ride, I've got room for a couple more.

Should be fun, something a little different.

Sorry to be kind of off topic, but how do you get from Melrose to Horne Lake, or to Cook Creek off road. Was just riding at Cook Creek on the weekend, would be nice to be able to ride to the lake or Melrose from there.

Would love to join but I only have a dirt bike.

Thanks,

Boetie

Off-road bikes welcome too, shouldn't have to hit any pavement all day.

Hey Lonewolf...can we get from Horne Lake /Spider Lake all the way to Melrose on the power lines??

Anyone know?

Yep you gotta hit a little chunk of pavement from the end of horn lake road to the power lines. If my bike is ready (parts on order)& my hand is healedup maybe i will meet you guys & show you the way.

Saturday: meet at Melrose, single track warm up, horne Lake, and the Port Alberni.

Hope to get a few locals interested.

Cook Creek entrance: is there trails or mainline towards the caves?
