That's just mean :X

Now I'm gonna tell people how nasty you are - flinging cow pies at me while I'm stuck on a rope behind you :wi:

Dorky you have the worst luck with bikes.....you have more break downs in a year, than i do in 30 years of riding.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. In the last 6 years I've:

  • Cracked a case and knocked off a petcock (single event) on the 640 (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Broke off a clutch spring on the 640 (a remnant of the above 'event') (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Plugged up the front fender on the 640 with mud and had to remove it (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Had an air bubble in a hydraulic clutch which took me a while to find (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Had a wire rub through which required 10 minutes of trailside tech (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Had to field wire the kickstand switch on my KLR (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Broke the end off a shifter (trail-side fix, rode it home)
  • Had about 5 flats (trail-side fixes, rode it home)
  • Now I have a mysterious sound on the 'berg. (Got towed home behind the poo flinger :X)
These are the things that happen when you really get out in the bush every weekend.

I'm sure if you counted up the mechanicalissues that you have had in all your years of racing and international riding you will find that you have had far more things happen of a much more exciting nature. :hr:

I know after a hard ride now I feel about 90 years old.

I still remember being 20 and would ride hard all day, then party till 5 am, sleep 4 hours, and go ride again, like it was no big deal.

What happened to my youth?
