Need a good Taylor to replace a steel Bike Jacket zipper.

The main zipper broke on my best Bike jacket. I have had other zippers on other Bike Jackets replaced by my local Dry Cleaners. But they have not done a good job. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to go.

Thanks

If you read Hamon's latest ride report, he found a great place to have it done......In Guatemala!!! Long way to go, but could be a fun trip! OK, on a serious note, I would look for a place that makes bike jackets. I thought Rubber Side Down was a site sponsor, but couldn't find their link on the sponsor page, I think they make their own gear, but I am not sure. Aside from that, I don't know if they are still around, but there used to be a place in Maple Ridge called Louis' Leathers, might be worth a shot. They were good to deal with when I was on street bikes.

I had a riding jacket zipper replaced by a cobbler in Langley. Located in the same strip mall as the Army and Navy. Little hole-in-the-wall. Did a great job for me. Cant remember the store name...

Why yes, I happen to know a guy... ;)

But yeah, my recommendation would be shoe repair as well. They know how to stitch, especially through rugged materials. I had a seam blow on a pair of riding boots (street crash) and the repair held up until the rest of the boots wore out! I´m sure they could do up a jacket zipper too.

Catch ya later, Rick!
