I have an 08 KLR650, that I love.

But it has 2 parts that are total junk.....seems the shifter and signal lights break non stop.

I am done replacing them with crap stock ones.

So what are the best ones I can get, and from where?

Thanks

Hey Chance,

I also am a happy owner of a '08 KLR. Curious about how many times you have had the plastic break on the turn signal stocks; is this something I should /look/ forward to?

Cheers,
Hez

Many are breaking from what I read on http://www.klr650.net and some have never been dropped, or off the pavement.

Its apparently common on the 08's.

Anyways I have a new after market shifter bought from a guy on here.

And I took the signals right off it for now.

I do need to replace them obviously.....but here is how it looks as of tonight.

Hi Chanceit, try searching 'Buell turn signals' on this site

Yardsale recommended these and I bought four for the same price as one soft boiled egg Suzuki piece. He is right about the nuts being hard to find, the thread appears to be 8x1.00. Most bikes use 8x1.25, I think.

I waited until after the Deadzone to mount them.

I got these new LED signals today, and will be putting them on tomorrow.

Thanks for the Buell light tip though.

I took a look online, and they do look good to.

That's Kelly. She has to do Marty's wrenching. :D

Well of course, otherwise I have less time to drink beer, and keep my hands soft the way Joker likes them.

I trained her well. :hb::hb:
