New mid island rider

Now that my daily commuter has changed from a pickup truck to a motorcycle, it would be great to meet up with other island riders. My previous experience includes competitive motocross racing (many eons ago) and more recently a RUM'd CRF250X (complete with a Rekluse Pro) that I tooled around in Port Alberni with. My new bike in its current form won't be blazing through single track, but logging roads and tame trails are fair game. I'm 'free' some Saturdays, and all Sundays and Mondays. I probably should have bought the motorcycle earlier in the year, but after buying a dental practice and home I've more than done my share to keep the local economy going!

Thanks for the invitation, Frank. Unfortunately I'm still trying to arrange to take ICBC's 'skills' test. Until then I'm a lame duck. With the Nanaimo office at the end of its season, I may be off to Victoria if I want to continue riding...
