Thanks for the tip.

I think the problem is that it's almost impossible to find a trail if you don't have someone to show you where it is.

It's still a bit early in the season, but once it warms up you will start to see rides get posted on here. That's how I got started when I moved out here. Posted up to a ride that was meeting at Beans on Londsdale a few years ago. From that one ride, it just sort of snowballed. I have met lots of new friends who have taken me to all sorts of cool and fun places.

Hey Kath.

I did the pro-ride course in Vancouver & they were really good. I believe they are now located around 4th ave & Burrard which is not as much of a stretch as Surrey.

It's worth the money just cause they do your skills assessment as part of the course then they set up the icbc road test for you & you get to use their bikes for the road test.

I paid around $650 for the course 6 years ago.

Pro Ride is located on the North Shore at, Capilano College in North Vancouver and apparently, a very good School.

Action is located in Langley at Kwantle College

You can weigh the prose and con on each School, class times and riding areas etc.
The big negative that I see with The North Shore is that they go to Burnaby for testing, which means that your road training is across the Iron Workers Bridge

I'll second Pro-Ride on the north shore. My wife took their riding course last summer and loved it. She said the instructors were professional, fun and very patient. I came out to watch during their second day of parking lot riding and was impressed too.

What ever school you choose, it will be the best money you ever spend on the sport. You'll learn great skills with people like yourself and best of all, have fun doing it.

Ride on!
