supposed to be nice out from Friday on....Sunday sounds perfect for the ride!
Does that cover any bike, or only street legal bikes that are unplated? I guess what I'm asking is if one were to buy that platinum pass could they do the Newbie Ride on a dirtbike (no horn, light, mirrors, etc)? You can go to www.BCORMA.ca and get the Platinum Pass, it will give you the insurance requirements to ride FSR's.

Individual rider $1 million off-road liability insurance is available from BCORMA on-line as our BCORMA Premium-Insured Trail Pass through Oasis Insurance (its here!). The cost for your premium trail pass plus $1 million liability insurance is $160/yr pro-rated on a quarterly basis for the insurance portion. This insurance is for the rider and is not machine-based. This gives you coverage no matter what machine you ride that day. Go to our BCORMA Store to purchase.
What are the loop distances?
Hello all,
Been reading the post here for the 17th ride and the above post from West Coast Rider mentions B route and C route but no A route. Way back one pg 1 or 2 it mentioned that the A route is for us Noobs however the A route was not addressed above as mentioned? The reason I ask is I live out back behind Cultus and ride those roads all the time. I have no 3rd party or a plate and ride a small 200 enduro. I would love to hook up with the group and meet you folks but I dont want to buy 3rd party (Pay the Queen) or plate this little bike. As far as road work its slow and I would only be staying on FSR. Can someone please tell me why this 3rd party is so important?? I mean I dont rip around or ride carelesly,.... I know others do but really, do you refuse riders to join your fun because they dont carry 3rd party?
Thanks
P.S. I may be interested in purchasing the liability which supports the off-roading (even tho Im really adament about not having 3rd party and paying the Queen) But I just dont think the little 200 would ever be fun to dangle with the roadwork.
P.S.S. Can someone give me a reasonable example of trouble without it?
Glenn
The "C" route is just over 100km. There is an opportunity to stop for gas after 20km and after approximately 40km.
I copy and pasted this from a thread that Tom started here:

B Route: Leave the Tamihi CampgroundThats it, If you are fast and the weather is good I can send you back out on some harder stuff. Or you can stop and have Lunch and enjoy the company.
- Short Trail by Canpground C+.5km will give you a good taste of what is coming your way for the rest of the day
- EZ Street C+ section a 1 km trail that is flat but has all the surface condition you can expect to find on the rest of the route. If you find this section hard and had no fun do not carry on with the rest of the B route
- Milk Run B section 2-3 kms Much tighter two track thru some older growth forest, this is a very old foresty grade very cool riding. some mud with some uphill sections that can challenge you. The end of this section has a very steep downhill, about 100 feet.
- Deer Run B 2.5kms Starts as a nice ez grade and gets really steep at the bottom, if you did the end of Milk Run you will have no problem here, then a nice long uphill (I remember this from 20+ years ago, it was a nice road, not so nice now) after the uphill you will enter another really cool forested area there is a short hard uphill again (probably the hardest uphill section of the day.there will be spotters here to guide you.) You can return to the main route if this hill is too much.
- Freckles B 3 sections totaling about 2 kms all uphill in a second growth forest. This section can be bypassed by taking the main FSR Church Mtn Loop
- Church Mtn Loop B 15kms this route we have used for many of the past Noob rides, its a washed out FSR not too hard but you will have to watch it on the loose sections. On the East side on the way down the FSR has been decomissioned and is now a two track. It is in good shape the only section here is a shale slide that if required you can walk you bike the 30 feet.
- Tamihi Connector B 2 kms About 3/4 of the way down from the Church Mtn Loop you will make a right turn to the Connector. Nice EZ Old Old Forestry Grade. There is a steep downhill to the creek with a easier grade out. The final grade out is a little loose and a lot of water that will drop you on a new logging road from there you are only a km from the campsite
Yeesh, you're making me have doubts!
If we're not doing so hot on 'EZ Street' or 'Milk Run' is it fairly easy to bail and join up the C route? I feel like the C route is grated gravel roads (boring easy) and the way you explain it, the B routes seems a bit tough! Do any KLR's ride the B loop, or is it purely <650 bikes?
'Last rider out' is 10, so when will the ride actually be starting? Is arriving at 9:30 too late?
Hi Everyone
Do I need to be a member of the DualSportBC in order to participate at the event??
