I'm still in for the 27th unless I can't get my gas tank leak sorted.

I still would like to offer up my chain saw even though i can't make it.
It will come with a plastic chain guard mixed gas and bar oil as well.
Also an al chain sharpening ( so/so dremel job).
and the little screw driver/ socket for chain tension( falling off )
I live in cloverdale so if you are on this side of the river and attending....let me know.
i have found the biggest problem carrying is scratching the bike, that will be up 2 you.

Just pulled out my old homelite 16" chainsaw this past saturday and it fired right up(okay 6 pulls)after three years of storage. Ready for use and comes with operator/sharpener.

Woo! Sounds like we're going to have plenty of power. How much dirt-moving are we going to be looking at once the brush is cleared? I think you said that we were going to have to cut about 500m of fresh trail -- is that going to be just a matter of running bikes through it a bunch of times or are we going to be carving switchbacks and the like?

This is so obviously an newb question, but where do we all plan to meet and at what time? I assume Bruce's market on Sunday, but am not even sure about that.

Looking forward to helping here and I'm wondering what other kinds of bush clearing tools and equipment you could use. Come-along, lots of rope, burke bar, stuff like that? Log peavey?

I might have to bring the little bike in the back of my truck if my new stator doesn't arrive in time....:(

How close to the work area can one get with a two wheel drive pick-up ? Close enough ?

Alex.

I don't know the best route to take thru the old growth part of the trail. More scouting will be required. My goal for Sunday is to get the road cleared up to the old growth, 3.5K, The obstacles are alder saplings, cross ditches and some old logs placed to deter 4x4s.

I drove my truck (one wheel wonder) to the trail head. But because of the distance we are going to travel, bikes will be required.

RR I don't know what half the tools you mentioned are ,But they sound good. Bring them along . We might find a use for them.

I was wondering if riding to the trails is newbie friendly or not?

I don't think there is anything difficult on the way to the work area that would be a problem for a newbie. Did you get your spring sorted???

Yes, thanks again OTG.

My Daughter will be coming out tomorrow on her KLX. So I was just wondering about the ride to the trail.
