Hi 5th Gear,

I am interested in a new TE. I talked to the importer and he said that Transport Canada had a list of serial #'s for the street legal bikes...he said all TEs and SMs.

Are your bikes on that list? Is that why yours are cheaper??

Thanks!

Cyclejoe

There all legal no problems there.

The 310 is the exact same as the 250 just a bigger piston/cylinder and different mapping. We are building one up right now out of a 2009 250, doing it as a project putting on all the aftermarket bits to make the bike even more bullet proof.

We do sell the 510 by far the most but The 310 is one of my favourites Its right in the middle. Deadly fun in the tight and still capable on the highway. Perfect do all bike.

I was led to believe the 2010 250 is a brand new engine & the only engine using the new technology in the entire Husky line-up. Also that the 2010 310 is based on the 2009 250, which shares nothing with the 2010 250. Hence my question if there's a 310 kit for the 2010 250.

I will definately be considering a new Husky as my next bike, but not for a couple season's. I love my TE610. It has been rock solid. I am not sure the 630 will be a replacement....maybe a 510 instead.

I bought my Husky used, so I was never concerned with warranties ect.

That being said, what does the warranty on a new Husky cover? Is it going to be the 3 year unlimited km's like the BMW's? Is Husky going to require a bike boughtfrom a dealership to be warrantied only at that dealer? Ifa guy were to buy a bike and spend a summersomwhere likeOntario or Kelownaand something went wrong, couldhe take the bike to Ross Rocher or SouthWest Motorad for some no hassle warranty work?

So many changes for Husky...hope it's all a change for the good. I was starting to wonder about Husky's commitment to the Canadian market.

i talked to the importer....some Josh guy?????

anyway he said that the only bikes that could be street legal were the ones he imported due to the fact that Transport Canada had a list of serial #'s that he provided to them.....and that those were sold to authorized dealers....and the Pacific Yamaha was the authorized dealer for this area.....???

same goes for warranty...warranty is only good at authorized dealers......

i think id rather pay the extra $1000 to make sure i get those 2 things.....

warranty is 90 days on mxers...6 months on TEs and 1 year on 630s according to the importer.....

The 250 four strokes are new motors with no big bore kits available at this time.

Sorry guys was thinking of the 2009 we are putting a big bore in right now . 2010 is the new lightweight motor for only the 250's . Hopefully the new technology of the 250 will hit the 450 next year.

Cycle Joe good to see you getting on board with dualsports. Nice to see someone join and show so much interest and knowledge of Huskies so quickly.

Your lucky to have got Josh on the phone, it's next to impossible he normally only response to email. I'll have to get that direct number from you.

I'll PM you when the 310 IS finished . It will be the same bike as the 2010 just cheaper and better components. We are modding the hell out of it.
