Parish Hill opening Ride work Party June 5th 2016 RwR

Since the snow should be gone at the top it would be time to get there and see what the winter have left.
This will involve some work, but if enough people join, that will be fast.

If not enough of you commit to help, that ride will be closed for the summer, even longer...
This is one of the best ride in the Chilliwack Area.
But we need to clean the dead fall, fix a little slide and a bridge.

You wonder if Parish Hill is open?
You wonder if you can make it?

It's the best time to try, lots of people to help.

Need to be a B+ rider, not beginner friendly... (Unless you want a reason to sell your bike)

Not big bike friendly, sub 650.

Post if you want to come.

Bye the way, we know you have good reason for not coming...
We don't need to know...
Don't feel the need to post you are not helping.

I'll be there. I love this route and it'd be nice to fix the dead fall and a few of the tougher spots to make it a little more B+

That's 3 weeks in the future and I don't even buy green bananas anymore. Lots of time to fit it into my schedule.

Hi there,

Not sure if you guys know that frenchmens revenge is no longer after excavator/dozer ( you can easily get around now), gate before ( I lifted my bike through opening), HUGE slide near bridge to nowhere ( ( should be ridable with some help to clear downed trees)

Acutally, Frenchmen's is still there, just the part below the first horrible switchback got worked over. But it's not a neccesary part of the route as the road is back in place.

And as usual, I'm a solid maybe to come help.:mb::mb::confused:

Judy has offered to BBQ us up some smokies at the end of the day, so come on out and let's get this trail all fixed up ready for the summer/fall riding season.

We did a bunch of work on the North site to the rock garden, widended the trail removed roots fixed some nasty uphill and cleared some trenching at the top. Its now a pretty sweet run up where you can crank it up a notch. Now we can tackle both ends of the trail on the work day. Thanks to the pre work party crew, Ron, Marvin, Syl, Peter and Neil for getting it done right.

Today we are going to attempt to ride through the rock garden

Bump,
This is coming Sunday June 5th

I'll be there, maybe only to cook the Smokies.
Like some of you know, that will make the work easier... For you, since I'll not be there with my wip

If you plan on coming out please post up so we'll know how much food and refreshments are required. I'll bring and extra apron for you Syl :br:

Sounds like a party....who doesn't like smokies & refreshments. A little trail work will help the beer taste better at the end of the day.

See you all there
