I have an SL70 and it is missing some parts but otherwise it still works great...

Hey all on this ride. thanks to the lead group i was with through out the day....had fun pretty much the whole day with the exception of my gas can which kept falling off! I am not sure of the name of the rider who gave me a click strap to keep the gas can in place....but thank you. I ended up waiting at the end of the ride where we all met up before going into Pemberton to eat, for the rider I started the day with (Steve), but from the sounds of it I would have waited a long time longer. rode home on the slab, and hit a nasty rain storm in between Pemby and Whistler. Overall, a typical fun DS ride. I will say the unispiring power of the KLX 250 makes me yearn for my Sportbike. time to put some knobbies on the f4i, and let er rip! lol

say altimpact, I've read the 330 big bore kit wakes those klx's up, not cheap though. too bad they didnt do that from the factory. as you know with gutless bikes you carry more speed into corners, nothing like brute power but mall bores are less tiring to ride. mike

hi Randy, oh boy I dont think I could sell my sl100, we go way back, I bought it new in 71', making .25c an hour then, I raced it, MX, enduros, ( never did worth crap with it but "run what ya brung" ) toured with it, 2 rocky mtn tours, have a pic somewhere of it on rogers pass, both 5K km trips, sold to the ol' man, bought it back..... I may know of some other for sale though I"ll ask around.
plastic stuff and mufflers are unobtanium for SL's as i'm sure you know.
