Picked up a new TE 630!

Hey all, new member on here. Picked myself up a TE630 on Friday. Pretty happy with it so far even though I have only ridden it about a mile!

First thing I did was cut off the pin on the kickstand so it doesn't auto-retract when you lift the bike up. hated that feature! Much better now.

Couple questions for current owners...

Does the bike not come with a tool bag? I looked everywhere and couldn't find one, and the manual says nothing about it.

I read that an upgrade that most guys are doing is removing the Lambda sensor. Mine's already gone. Is there something I am missing? Seems to run good contrary to the other posts I have read about surging idle and stalling.

Says in the manual that the warranty is void if I don't service it at a husky dealer. Any experience on that? I like servicing my own machines as I don't trust anyone else, and that statement worries me.

Other then that I can hardly wait to get it out and ride it!

Hi,

Sweet Bike.

I have an 08 610 and I got a small tool kit and manual with my Bike. My tool kit is under the seat.

Were did you get it from?

My 630 came w/ Red Owners Manual, USB thumb drive manual and Tool Kit that consisted of the usual plug socket, axle wrench plus a bunch of other wrenchs. I would go back to dealer for all your goodies.

Enjoy you new bike!

Watch out for any modifications to the emissions system - likely void your warranty as well.

I didn't modify anything, thats the way it came from the dealer.

I picked it up at International Motorsports in Delta. Price was right, 700 less then their retail price. It was an overstock he got from another dealer. He had two there identical but one was $700 cheaper, So I grabbed it!

My 630 came with a tool kit, axle wrench, Owners Manual Booklet and USB thumb drive with Owners Manual on it. I assume this should come with all bikes?

How's the 630 treating you? I'm thinking of picking one up and would like to hear your impression after ? kms and hours in the saddle.

Same hear. I checked into the 630's and it seemed they had a number of issues with throttle control and required a fair bit of 'tweaking' to get around the emission airflow restrictions and to get the power out of them.

Riding a KLR I am course somewhat familiar with a bike the needs some fixes right off the bat ;)

Curious about how the 630 is working out :)

Going to do a little plug for the JD Power Surge for FI engines

I have the TE310 and it had its fair share of engine performance issues, mainly it was too much for my style of riding

The JD Power Surge was the best 210.00 I could have spent. Now I dont know about the TE630 but I would think this item would solve your problem

get it at Husky Northwest

im curious too on the TE630 as well. I'd be nice if someone has expirence that upgraded from the TE610 to the 630. I still think the 07 TE610 I had was the best bike I've ever had. It handeled better then some of the 450's out there. I can take it on the highway and do a buck sixty if i needed to and then go do some single track.

I had an '07 TE610 for a while and we had a SM630 demo at the shop I worked at earlier this year. The bikes aren't really that much different from each other, the engine is the same, yet fuel injected and twin cam. As for suspension and handling, to me it was much the same. The 630 weighs a little more and is quieter mostly on account of the dual mufflers. I was back at the shop the other day and apparently you can pick up a brand new one for $7500 with freight and pdi. That's a killer deal I'll say. Also, RV Aqualine makes a monster tank for it and now Touratech is making luggage so I think under $10k and you would have a sweet ass ADV bike.
