Plane Crash Ride thread

I am going to ride up to the plane wreck, on Mt. Bolduc, this Sunday. If you are interesting in coming along, I'll be at the Tim Hortons (north side of Duncan) at 9:30ish, Sunday April 15th.

The Plane is a WWII bomber that crashed in 1944. All 6 soldiers on the plane were killed and buried on the mountain. I'll bring the News paper clipping with me and you can read it up there.

How is the ride up there? Not too challenging is it? FSR type stuff?

I have 80% street tires on the bike right now, and I'd like to go, but my knobbies are toasted, and I'm not in a place to get new ones yet.

The route is all FSR with a ~1KM hike at the end. Lee said he might take "Olive" his R1200GS Adventure.

This is a big bike friendly ride... I'll be on "Olive" without knobbies so you'll be fine..

Aww man, this not being able to ride sucks!!!!:mad2:I can't wait until fall, can we do it then as well? I would love to see it.:ss:

How about renting a quad?

I'd love to go, but Patrick has another Trial in Shawnigan.

Crap, I'd love to but I'm working on getting my 600 track prepped. I've got to test fit and paint the plastic Sunday. I'd love to head up there some time soon. Please take pics (I'm not sure if that is inappropriate or not, that is up to you I guess).

Ok.. I just got heck... If we are going to have a ride, Jeannie wants to cook breaky, so anyone that wants some food, meet at my place 8:30ish.. anyone that wants direction, let me know and I'll PM you...
