GPS Central is a sponsor and they are a
Canadian company with
excellent prices and service.
When you call the other company mentioned above your call goes to Nevada and so does your money.
From the GPS Central US website:
GPS Central is a completely independent, North American business specializing in GPS products.
GPS Central is a trademark of Mach Ten Enterprises Inc. Our emphasis is on the American recreational and marine GPS market, and we welcome global customers.
GPS Central Wholesale Division serves businesses, government, other institutions and NGOs. Our staff have provided GPS customer support services since 1999, and we have been supplying GPS equipment directly since our Authorized GARMIN Dealership was established in 2000. In 2006, GARMIN confirmed that
GPS Central was its leading dealer within Canada, and we would like to thank everyone who has helped us achieve this ranking in an extremely competitive marketplace.
Mach Ten Enterrprises shows up as a Canadian company operating in Calgary.
There are blog rumors the Canadian company sold out to the US company but I think they are mistaken. Fax number on the US site is a Calgary exchange.
Had to check it out for myself but what I found confirms what Dorky says and its great to see a Canadian company competing in such a challenging market.
