I talked to Rob and Lee at RE-Cycle (which is in Chemainus) today about progressive rear shocks and front fork springs and they both gave me alot of useful information and a good price. So I got them to order me the new parts.

Thank you bothfor the friendly service I'll deffinately give you guys a call before I call that other place near Parksville:tup:

You will notice a huge improvement. I'm no lightweight and I still had to run the rear preload on the Progressive near the bottom of the scale. If you load your bike down this shock still lets the bike take corners aggressively:clap:

Hi,

Blew my KLR shock last week.

Ordered a progressive shock and fork springs from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse 1-800-241-2222. (Shock 333.95 and springs 55.95).

Total cost including taxes and freight, shipped to San Diego, CA was US$ 418.89 which is CDN$ 495.07.

Hope this is of use. You have to pay by PAYPAL and I guess will be more involved shipping to Canada????

[line]Yeah, you'll be hit with another $80 or so from customs for taxes as well.

Hi Scotty, you guessed it, Burnaby Kawa has very cool Larry Roesseler developed Progressive Susp. shock & fork springs for KLRs. Cost 475ish & 85ish respectively. Run 425 cc 15 w. bel-ray per leg with these fork springs & no air ever. 400 cc if you only use the little drain screw. The stock shock is fine until you try a good one. Then you will wonder how you put up with that crap shock for so long. Try the Contiknobbies while you`re at it. Magic tires. Needs lots of air on the street tho. Bye Leon:shock:
