Well, I never had any intentions of being at the pub for breaky, so I lit out on my own at 11:30 to see if I could rendezvous with tomcycle and the boyz. I was mearly 45 minutes into my ride when I stumbled across two vehicles parked with bike trailers at theShake and Shingleon Wilson road. I yelled wimps as I rode by but only an astonished old guy loading his car was there to hear it. 15 minutes later I hit dirt at Stave Lake and my spidy senses led me right to them at one of the first trails. They had just gone up a road with snow and were heading to find another.
We found some snow on another blocked logging road and found our way to the gong show at mud flats. On the way to the beach we encopuntered a bit of mud but also alot of icy roads. We eventually were stymied at a locked main gate and I left the boyz while they were looking for a new access point to bypass said barrier. I left at 1:30 PM and headed South. I washed the mud off and had my feet up by 3:30.
Not a bad little excursion on a beautiful, yet cold sunny day.
Tom, did you ever get by that gate?
