Rides planned Easter Weekend?

Easter weekend just kind of snuck up on me. I'm re-acquainting myself with the F650GS and wondered if any rides might be planned on the island. I don't have a lot of experience off-road but thought it'd be nice to tool around the island for the weekend. I'm digging out my Destination Highways and BC Backroads as I write this.

Ah. I see still no replies, Jac. Methinks they are all waitin for spring or some such comfort zone. As for myself, I'd be up for a ride. Renfrew/Cow Lake day trip? Early camping Whistler area? (I'd probably end up in a motel if the weather sucked,) Up Island? Inland? Anywhere but here.

Sounds good, I'm interested. No plans yet, just need a break from the routine.

How about Jordan ridge or something close by 'cause I gotta work the next day.

I'd be interested in something local-ish on Saturday and, most importantly, offroad. And preferably more difficult than your average logging road.

I've never been to Jordan Ridge, so +1 on that idea.

Weather definitely sucks the big one right now.

BUT!

Wind and rain is *supposed* to ease overnight, w/ a mix of sun+cloud Saturday and 30% chance of rain in the morning, 70% in the afternoon. Both Environment Canada and the Weather Network roughly agree with each other on this...

Lets first agree on a time/place to meet and a destination...

I'm open to anything, but would prefer to stay south of the Malahat. Jordan Ridge might be good (again, never been).

If I'm not mistaken Mike you meant more like keep an eye on the lawn furniture and the BBQ right?.... I'm not sure if I've even seen the cat since yesterday!.....

It's getting late, but I'm up for a ride of a few hours. I don't know the area so I'm going to have to rely on you to name a time and place.

I ride a KLR but I'm not too worried about dropping it so anything from logging roads to B or B+ would be a good ride for me.

Yeah my power was out for 30 hours, spent the time cleaning up branches and debris, stoking the wood stove instead of riding.
