I couldn't find much when I was there. To me it looked like most every square foot is private land. The road up to the top of Mount Maxwell was easy riding (V-strom). It's still a great place to ride your bike. Maybe one of the locals will chime in with a secret riding spot or two.

It's a decent ride up to the VOR station on Mt Tuam:

From there you can carry on up the west side of the islandto Musgrave Landing and there is a route over Mount Bruce which leads back towards Ganges. I might have a gpx file somewhere but if you have a gps and map software you should be able to figure it out.

If the weather is nice you get great views of Baker, Sydney etc.

Masso knows all the nooks and crannies, see if he is willing to share his secrets...

Sorry I didn't see this earlier........

I'm afraid that there is indeed some fun riding here, but you'd need a tour guide. It's a little slow going though.

Hey OTG I remember all of those place you mentioned. I LOVE SaltSpring. If you're adventurous there are places to explore on the island......

I found this place on Mt. Bruce a few years ago.

Saltspring would be a great destination for a day trip if you can coordinate the ferry trips. You need about 5 or 6 hours to do a nice loop over Mount Bruce and Tuam. Ganges offers some nice restaurants for a late lunch on the trip back to the ferry.

Maybe this summer.
