Hi Tom,

Not sure what the disconnect is. My pics are from the trip I took Saturday down Tamihi FSR - km 14-15 or so. Cylinderslap's pics are of Chilliwack Lake, I understand from her trip there a couple days later, take from the road.

Not sure what is confusing - maybe I'm missing something.

I am sure its me then, not seeing that these are two different rides........carry on

No worries - she explained it in her note from yesterday.

I probably should have started a new thread, but oh well.

Jeckyll - I just made the connection between the handle with your name ("B") - yes sir! That was us at the bench.

Interested in joining us on Thursday? Looks like folks want to do the Tamihi FSR run - would be great if you can come.

Just a note to all interested - there's a small chance of rain. Based on the forecast now, I'm still "go". I'll bring a suitable layer - suggest folks look t the weather and pack accordingly. Also, should have my tire sorted tomorrow, so that issue (unless worst case shop doesn't fix) - I consider myself a go at this point.

It not being a long ride, I don't need to see getting up at the crack of dawn. Suggesting RV1 for anyone West of Abbotsford/Chilli at the Chevron on 232/HWY 1 - 0830AM on Thursday. I don't know where Cylinderslap and the others are located - if there's another RV pointed needed in the Chilliwack area, post up that you'd like to meet there instead of RV1, and I'll designate an RV2 30 min-45 min later accordingly.

Plan would be to do the harder run first (Tamihi FSR) - with snack/break in the valley around where my pics were taken. Then maybe make a slab run out to Chilliwack Lake for lunch. Then work back west for a run of Slesse in reverse (from east to west) so we end up near Yarrow by early/mid afternoon for the return home.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hey gang.

Sorry about the dates - hard to line it up for everyone. I’m stuck with meetings on Friday, so Thursday is my only day this week. In the future, I’ll try to target Wednesdays or Fridays.

Btw-those have to be the most brilliantly hilarious forum names for a couple ever. Bravo!! :ROFLMAO:

So Jekyll and and Reza- you still in ?

I'm in as long as it's Adventure Bike appropriate. I'll pull the side cases off tomorrow and strap the tools on the back. :)

Hello Bjorn and Reza,

Sounds great gents. Bjorn, I think you'll have no issues, as you're a more experienced offroad rider than I am. Reza, sounds like you too have it under control.

Since you're both west of where we're going (and west of me, for that matter), sounds like there's no need for a RV2 point. So then we'll stick to RV1 at 232 St/HW1 at 0830 Sat morning, and then go as planned from there.

My tire/wheel should be ready for tomorrow afternoon, so I'll make sure the bike is otherwise ready to go - and unless something changes drastically, we should be set. I'll confirm final "go" state tomorrow afternoon when it's in hand.

Looking forward to a ride with the big bikes!

OK, I'm set, got the cases off and figured out how to rig the tools and first aid kit.

BTW, above you said "0830 Sat morning" but we've been talking about Thursday (i.e. tomorrow). Assuming that's just a typo :)

See you tomorrow morning.

I have done all my efforts to put all together to change my tires. My bike will be ready tomorrow after three. As much as I loved to make it I miss it.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Next time.

Hi Bruce and Bjorn!

What a fun day. Great photos - mine aren’t nearly as good.

While they denied us a good view, the clouds and mist added their own element of “interesting”, so in the end, it was a great day.

Looking forward to the next ride.

Cheers,

Daniel
