Selling my 2005.5 KTM 950 Adventure

Hi,

Selling my 2005.5 KTM 950 Adventure

Extremely well maintained, very low miles (44,XXXkm) locally owned (third owner) that’s spent most of it’s life as a touring bike. I purchased it as my do-it-all bike, and love it. Just looking to downsize to a smaller, more dirt-oriented dual-sport bike for now. Pics:

Bike is largely stock, but has had ALL of the common LC8 “Achilles’ heel” items addressed:

  • Water pump upgrade (CJ Designs by previous owner)
  • Fuel pump (DR Bean solid state by previous owner)
  • Clutch slave (Oberon by previous owner)
  • Rear brake master (replaced by newer-model OEM July of this year)
  • Fuel tank crash guards (plastic 990 style, trimmed and adapted for 950)
Insofar as optional mods/enhancements, it came with / I added the following:
  • SW Motech skid plate (by previous owner)
  • SW Motech rear rack (by previous owner)
  • Wings Exhaust (by previous owner)
  • Lower seat (allows me, shorter [5’8”/31” inseam] rider to keep suspension stock/unmolested and still touch balls of feet on ground
  • Oxford heated grips
  • Engine case guards (both sides, from Triple Clamp Moto, including billet right side limited edition “Heavy Enduro” case guard)
  • Cycra Probend handguards
  • Full SAS/canisterectomy as per the gurus on Advrider’s Orange Hall of Wisdom
  • Glove box “quick-release” kit, which enables access to the airbox in seconds
  • Wiring for GPS/phone USB power
  • Fully wrapped the bike in black vinyl to protect black OEM paint (in near flawless condition). OEM-style graphics both preserve the factory tanks and fairing and add some flair in the style of the factory scheme. Easily removable if preferred.
For maintenance, I performed the full scheduled maintenance at the 42k km mark this winter, including
  • New tires (Mitas E09 Dakars)
  • Full oil change, including all screens, filters, O-rings, etc.
  • Carbs serviced and cleaned
  • New spark plugs
  • Valve checked (in spec)
  • Air Filter (K&N) clean
  • Brake flush
  • Clutch flush and inspection
  • Radiator cleaned and flushed with new coolant
  • Replaced steering bearings
  • Replaced handlebar bushings
  • Replaced many old/worn original bolt hardware with marine-grade SS bolts
Other / Miscellaneous:
  • Bike comes with 2x Gobi Adventure hard cases that are included. Racks have already been sold.
  • KTM OEM manual, “briefcase”, 2x keys, full OEM took kit in original KTM bag and all receipts included.
Bike is literally ready to ride away on adventures. Bike has never been down on pavement, but as an adventure bike, has had a few tipovers with the attendant minor cosmetic nicks. They’re minor (and addressable if one was really inclined) but I point them out in the pictures for full disclosure. The reality is it’s likely 950 Adventure in the finest condition in BC if not further afield, so this bike will keep you rolling for miles.

$7,500 CAD obo.

Thanks,

Daniel
