sometimes a little rain must fall.

on the road reasonably early yesterday and after breaky in gold beach it was on to the detour that I overheard guests at the motel say was so scary. All paved and all twisty through the foothills of Oregon for half hour or so. so glad I didn't do as I was told as the detour was a blast and the rain has begun and up in the sIskews (sp) it'd be snowing. the rain lasted thru to woodland over 7 hrs of rain.
much better weather today and blitzed thru to Barstow before turning south again in the am.

So Wayne dropped in to see us today. I was surprised but excited! Well maybe to excited, as he left town pretty quick. I never got a chance to say stay for dinner, but reason was, he needed to get camp setup before dark.
So we looked at a map, and I took him up the Grade to Culp valley about 4 pm. What a fun road that is, but climbing up the temp. dropped FAST, then the wind got weird and a really dark cloud may have caused him to soil his pants. I showed him some really big rocks to hide under, only time will tell , when he checks in. Off course there is no cell service in those hills.
I probably lied about him being scared, you who know him, also know he can handle a lot worst stuff!

That's my story ,Steve
