South Island DSBC Weekly Pub Meet - Log House Pub - Thursday evenings

On Thursdays, meet at SM Cycle (Peatt Rd in Langford) for 6pm. Sometimes, a local-ish ride happens. Sometimes, it's straight to the Loghouse Pub (Millstream at Treanor) for a drink and a bite. There's generally at least a few people there between 6:30 and 9.

I'll be taking the bike to work tomorrow, I might see if I can make it out in time for a ride... Work schedule cuts it pretty close.

Thx Cam/Buck. I'll try and make it to SM/The Loghouse next Thursday :). I'm heading out to the Vic MC Club property early this afternoon to watch some of the trials action . Anybody in to checking that out?

Anybody into a bit of an off-road jaunt before the 'meeting' this Thursday? Was thinking of heading up the 'hat to an area I used to ride many years ago; turn off at Spectacle Lk, then through the trailer park to a logging road that leads to Oliphant Lk (as I recall). I remember I used to ride from there down to the Malahat (there was a gate there that was easy to get around). Figure it wouldn't take more that an hour and a half or so (barring any 'issues', LOL). So maybe try and meet at SM by about 5:30?

My new Two Bros carbon fiber pipe for the VFR arrived today so I'm going to install that and catch up later at the pub.:)

Don't forget that you can ride a lot faster on a quiet bike! Stealth wins! It will sound amazing though. I can't wait to hear that VFR growl again.

I think I'll be able to make it out for a ride on Thursday.
Thing being I'm not usually off work until quarter to 6.

Will try and be at SM for... ten after?

Hey Cam,
I'd be into an off-road ride before the pub tomorrow; what about Oliphant? It's not very far; would probably be able to get to the pub by 8 or so. Unless I hear that this is going to be a pavement only ride I'll see you at SM at about 6:10...

See you there... Will be as punctual as possible but have patience. Getting away on time isn't always possible.

For the guys that did the street ride on Thursday, where exactly did you go? I'm thinking it was... Malahat Ridge?

I'd like to go up to wherever it was and check it out. Co-ordinates on Google Maps would be great.
