South Island DSBC Weekly Pub Meet - Log House Pub - Thursday evenings

Hi y'all,
Anyone up for an off-road ride before the pub tonight (Aug 5)? I'd like to head up the Malahat again to try and find the way to Oliphant Lk. from the Bamberton Rd access. Discovered that that is a *lot* easier access to that area than trying to squeeze by that red gate a little bit up the road, but I haven't been able to find Oliphant from there. Also wouldn't mind riding the trail around the lake if there's time, which I've never done. Can meet at SM at 6 or earlier if anyone else is interested...

Hi all, I'm a newbe and was wondering if this meet still happens?
OK fine,
disregarding his near death experience of last Fall,
LAZ 1 got hisself another motorcycle.
This time around, an actual Dual Sport bike, a mint old 1995 DR 650.
And when I say MINT, I mean it doesn't even have grass stains on the skid plate.
AKA,
"only ridden on weekends, on the hiway, as a commuter, by a little ol' lady back and forth to her KKK meetings".
So I want to chat with other D/S riders, especially DR 650 riders, over the usual 2 for 1 steaks and assorted wet stuff, at the Loghouse on Thursday evenings.
Brian McDougal and Darrel were there last thurs, and we enjoyed a wide range of conversational tid bits, including flying boats.
Hopefully this year we can talk about other stuff, rather than just the usual boring old,
" I got SO dirty and SO wet and SO cold, AND I BROKE MY [ FILL IN THE BLANK] ON THE LAST RIDE."
Maybe if we aren't so boring,
we might even get some GIRLS to show up more than once this year??
I have reserved the big table at the back, in the nook, for this Thurs, July 14th,starting at about 6:00 ish,
under the name South Vancouver Island Dual Sport aka "The Dirty Boys".
Hopefully some one else will show up and I won't have to eat both those delicious steaks all by myself,
