not sure all what happened with this dealership and all of the goings on but they have left BMW not excited about opening another venture that is just bikes. This might change once the dust settles and one comes to the table with a new building built to BMW specifications and substantial financial backing. Only time will tell

They should just build onto the existing BMW car dealership and run it out of there. Then they could be a BMW boutique and the auto operations will cover the shortfalls in the beginning. Staff numbers required would be low and they could leverage the existing staff (service/parts).

i think thats the plan that they have is move the bikes to the car dealer. However, if you have dealt with the honda experiment and the superstore its not great for the bike side of things.

but in the world of bmw- that would equate to twice as much high brow attitude in the same amount of floor space! that's a win for sure!

The plan for the new dealership would to have the Starbucks in the store. then it would become the destination as well. No more riding gear but suits and loafers would become the norm that only if you want to talk to a sales rep.. then again not having to talk to them might be a good thing.
