I just got some speed Bleeders from Dual Star. Do any of you know if you can quckly take the stock ones off and replace them with these without using a vacum to bleed all the air again? I just thought if I could unscrew the stock ones and get the new ones on quickly enough, then maybe I could just pump the brake lever to drain the air if I don't lose too much brake fluid when switching them.

How'd it go? I got some speed bleeders, but haven't put em on yet. I got a Might-Vac brake bleeder that makes it so easy to bleed brakes, that I run around and bleed (flush)all my bikes at the same time. It helps me keep from pitchin a half quart of brake fluid away, after opening the container. I bet if you squeezed real slow on the lever and stuck in the new bleeder. filled upyour reservoir and bled offa little bit after installation, you wouldn't have many problems. Before the "Vac" I used to flush my brakes by opening the bleeders and pouring in new fluid as gravity pushed out the old fluid. Don't recall any air problems, but you might get a bubble in the end of the new bleeder itself. Fill it up (the bleeder, use a toothpick to pop any bubbles)and see whathappens. Won't take long to figure if you got a problem. Good luck..........Randy

Here's just one location (US). I bought mine online somewhere else. You can bleed all four brakes on a car in 20 minutes by yourself, as well as, do some vacuum diagnosis on your stuff.
Worth every penny, to me..........Randy

Thanks! I want one of those. Not much fun taking alot of air out of the brake lines. When I changed my cable to an SS one, I could not bleed the air out and ended up bringing my bike to the Yamaha dealer who has a power bleeder. Should have gotten the Mity Vac bleeder years ago.

It will certainly keep the signifant other from devolping a hate relationship with you. "..pump, pump, .......now hold.....no hold!...pump......no let off.........!!! You can do it yourself. I bet you could go down to the local auto parts store and find one. Save on shipping. Being able to do a car by yourself may be the only redeeming value, for the money. Doing a bike is pretty simple.....................Randy

haha... we must have the same wives! Unfortunately my wife does not share my enthusiasm and enjoyment of motorcycles... but she's still a sweet heart. I told her when I retire I will buy many old bikes and restore them and she gave me the look of death.
